Flying Section SYP Sports & Social Club

 The Sports & Social Club Flying Section has a new Secretary Stuart Leadbeater, it is about more than just flying covering the wider aspect of aviation.  Here is an extract from their page on the Sports Club website:- What do we do? We aim to open up all aspects of aviation to SYP Sports and Social members and their families. We have a modest budget so can not pay for members to learn how to fly, pay for fuel for powered pleasure flights, but we can help with the following: Help arrange trips and transport to Air Museums and Air Shows using Sports and Social minibus (if available) Get people with mutual interests together. Arrange subsidised Glider flights for members at local Gliding Clubs. To date over 50 SYP staff have enjoyed the Gliding evenings. For further information Click Here. I fly and instruct at Burn Gliding Club, formerly the Doncaster Gliding Club. This year is the Club's 50th anniversary and we will be arranging a Dawn till Dusk Flying Day, with other attractions on site too. The Club intended to fly all-comers at club rates, plus £7.00 insurance + £3.00 for charity, (probably Yorkshire Air Ambulance). This event is scheduled for Saturday 1st August 2009.
