South Yorkshire Police Sports and Social Flying Section
What do we do? We aim to open up all aspects of aviation to SYP Sports and Social members and their families. We have a modest budget so can not pay for members to learn how to fly, pay for fuel for powered pleasure flights, but we can help with the following:
Help arrange trips and transport to Air Museums and Air Shows using Sports and Social minibus (if available)
Get people with mutual interests together.
Arrange subsidised Glider flights for members at local Gliding Clubs.
To date over 50 SYP staff have enjoyed the Gliding evenings
What you can do for us.
We need members.
If you have an interest in aviation, hold a PPL or Gliding qualification, fly radio controlled models, enjoy visiting air displays etc, etc. Or if you wish to become involved in any of the above.

If you want to arrange an evening out at a local Gliding site for your team we can help. Last years price was around £16.00 for a winch launch and £34 for an aero tow.
