Introduction

Rambling Ramblers
is a group of serving and retired members of SYP who are members of the Sports
& Social Club, and their families, who meet every four weeks on a Sunday to participate in a ramble
or walk. The walking programme comprises walks suggested by members who then lead their particular
walk.

The meeting points, times, routes etc are circulated in advance to those on our e-mail list, and details
are also included on the web site below.  Reports of previous walks are included to offer a flavour of
the activities of the Section.  All are welcome to join the walks – there are no costs other than getting
to the meeting point and back home, and to this end, car sharing is recommended.

Walks are in various areas and whilst some are fairly local, some are within a distance involving around
a one hour drive – within Derbyshire,Staffordshire, West and South Yorkshire. Whilst a number of the
walks are classed as ‘all day walks’, often there are ‘turn-off points for members wanting a shorter walk,
and these will be pointed out in the advance notice of the walk.

If you are interested in taking part in one or more of the walks, please contact the Membership Services
Team at Niagara on extension 714945 or external number 0114 296 4945 and leave an e-mail address
and a telephone number and a member of the Walking Section will contact you.
